It also helps in reaching the lubricant into the bearing clearance to maintain an oil film and it avoids the direct contact with rolling elements and races. Here in this work an attempt is made to enhance the performance of taper roller bearing of Cold Rolling Mill by implementing Air- Oil Lubrication system.
A rolling contact bearing is also known as the antifriction bearing. However, this is misnaming because there is always friction between the rolling element and the inner and outer cages. Depending upon the type of rolling element, bearings are classified as Ball bearing, Cylindrical roller bearing, Taper roller bearing, and Needle bearing.

Four High Rolling Mill: These machine consist four rollers (two small and two big). These rollers are arranged as shown in figure. Small rollers are in direct contact with work piece and rotate in opposite direction. Big rollers works as backup rolls and they also rotates in opposite direction with each other and also with contact roller.
There are three-roller present, a Drive Roller, an Idler roller, and an Axial roller in this type of Rolling. The two main rollers (Drive roller and Idler roller) rotate in the same direction. The Idler roller rotates Inside the Metal, and with the Increase in hole diameter, the rollers move closer to each Other. Image Source (iv) Tube Piercing:

Cold rolling is a process that occurs after hot rolling in order to reduce the thickness, increase the yield and tensile strength and pliability of metal. It is a relatively expensive and labour-intensive process, but the improved mechanical properties increase the value of the finished product, whether that is a sheet, strip, or coil.

2: Metal arc welding. In metal arc welding, the arc is produced between the metal electrode (also called filler rod) and the work piece. During the welding process, the metal electrode is melted by the heat of the arc and fused with the work piece. The temperature produced by the heat is about 2400° C to 2700° C.

Mill Machining, Milling Process, Horizontal & Vertical Milling Machines Definition. Milling is a process performed with a machine in which the cutters rotate to remove the material from the work piece present in the direction of the angle with the tool axis. With the help of the milling machines one can perform many operations and functions starting from small objects to large …
Rolling is used for making hollow seamless tubes, rods etc. Large length cross sections are produced by rolling process. It is use for mass production of threaded parts like screw, bolts etc. Gears can be cut on gear blank by rolling process. Construction material, roofing panels, partition beams, railroads, etc. are rolling product.
2: Three high rolling mill: It consists of a roll stand with three parallel rolls one above the other. Adjacent rolls rotates in opposite direction. So that the material may be passed between the top and the middle roll in one direction and the bottom and middle rolls in opposite one. In three high rolling mills the work piece is rolled on both ...

However, there is another type of two-high rolling mill, which incorporates a drive mechanism that can reverse the direction of rotation of the rolls. A Two- high reverse arrangement is shown in Figure 2(b). In a two-high reversing rolling mill, there is continuous rolling of the workpiece through back-and-forth passes between the rolls.
