So for a quick recap: we have spent about $75 on tools and drill bits, if you did not have any one of them before, $480 on a base-model Del-Ton rifle or carbine kit; $65 on an EP Armory 80% lower receiver; $12 dollars on a Magpul 30 round PMag magazine; $20 for a rear sight and $10 for an AR-15 multi-tool. This brings the grand total to $662.

This debate, going on right now, could go either way. The Gub'mint says polymer lowers that are sold as 80% complete are actually more than 80% complete. They have raided both Ares and EP Armory. In the next year or two, the polymer lower receivers will be hard to obtain and could put you on the radar.



What should the depth be for the trigger group. I've got an 80% lower coming and it's going to be a series of hand drill and Dremel milling done on it. I've got a drill press at work but no x y vise. It comes with a sticker jig and this is going to be completely new to me any advise on the proces...

level 1. shadow_load. · 5y. The milling marks on the bottom of the fire control cavity look the same as the ones I had when I was having trouble with my machine. Turns out that my end mill was damaged and when I bought a new one off ebay, the problem went away. Not sure about your spindle/homing problems, though.
