i got my ep lower milled out using a 3/8 end mill on my drill press. finished it up using spiral cut bit in dremel. everything seems okay. waiting for my lpk from PSA to show up. I had read mixed reviews about ep armory stuff. seems like the current generation is okay from what i have seen.

This debate, going on right now, could go either way. The Gub'mint says polymer lowers that are sold as 80% complete are actually more than 80% complete. They have raided both Ares and EP Armory. In the next year or two, the polymer lower receivers will be hard to obtain and could put you on the radar.

The only other poly lower I've ever seen was a buddy's ATI that I helped him build out. The takedown pins on it were a little snug and took some 'helping' as well. But the contours of the recessed areas didn't interfere at all with the pins like they do on the EP.

Turns out that my end mill was damaged and when I bought a new one off ebay, the problem went away. Not sure about your spindle/homing problems, though.

The first lower that I tried to mill after I got my original Modulus Universal jig and Makita trim router back in 2016 was an EP Armory polymer lower. For under $40, it is cheap practice. And it has worked fine for a dedicated .22LR build since then so nothing wasted either.
